Typography In Context

The project focused on William Caslon, an American typeface designer active at the beginning of the 20th century, and, taking into context the period in which he lived, two posters were created using examples of the major typefaces he designed. The project emphasized typography, no images, and the importance of maximizing Caslon’s designs.

20世紀初頭に活躍したアメリカのタイプフェイスデザイナーであるウィリアム・キャスロンの研究を行い、彼が生きた時代の背景を考慮した上で、彼がデザインした主要な書体の例を使用して2つのポスターを作成しました。このプロジェクトでは、タイポグラフィを中心に据え、画像は使用せず、キャスロンのデザインを最大限に引き立てることが重要。
